Plentitude Collage Necklace
This Dendritic Agate spear holds fern-like patterns caused by mineral inclusions during its geologic formation. Also called the "stone of plentitude" Dendritic Agate is believed to promote abundance and personal growth.
The focal point of this unique collage necklace is a free-formed wire pendant which holds several beads: Tiger's Eye, Carnelian, and two beads of natural Amber, known as "liquid sunshine".
The chain is made of strung rich red-orange Carnelian stones with brown Tiger's Eye.
Metals are Rio Grande Brass and vintage brass tubes.
Length is 19 inches adjustable to 21 inches.
As early as 2500 BCE, the Egyptians wore Carnelian in the belief that it would bring peace by dispelling envy, anger, and hatred.
What sets Tiger's Eye apart is its unique optical phenomenon known as chatoyancy. Chatoyancy, also referred to as the cat’s eye effect, is a visible band of light that moves across the surface of the stone, resembling the slit-eye of a cat. This effect is caused by the reflection and scattering of light by parallel fibrous inclusions within the stone.
