Making Artisan Jewelry is April’s creative passion! Using natural stones and minerals, freshwater pearls, and other materials, April designs one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces using silver, copper, and brass. Her speciality is jewelry made from authentic ancient pieces of Roman Era Glass. April’s jewelry has been popular and sold in Miami, Florida, Boulder, Colorado, and Austin, Texas.
April Atlas earned a B.A. in Fine Arts, University of Colorado, Boulder, 1994. April has enjoyed having her award-winning ceramic art sculpture in art galleries in Boulder, Golden, and Denver, Colorado, and Silver City, New Mexico. Teaching fine art studio classes is very important to April. She taught studio arts to small groups of adults and youth in Colorado and Miami, created art classes for home-school students. April taught many individuals young and old with private lessons in drawing, oil and watercolor painting, and ceramics. April brought therapeutic arts activities to assisted living and adult day-care centers, working with seniors and challenged individuals in the Miami area for five years, before moving to Austin, Texas in 2020.
