Benevolent Blue Chalcedony Necklace
Blue Chalcedony is a nurturing stone that instills feelings of benevolence and generosity. Enjoy wearing these ten small natural stones and one large Blue Chalcedony focal stone, interspersed with Sodalite round stone beads
Blue Chalcedony (pronounced kal sed' nee) was found at the ancient Greek maritime town of Chalcedon on the Bosphorus straight in Asia Minor, modern-day Turkey. Chalcedony is one of the most ancient gemstones; it was carved into cylindrical seals in Mesotamia as early as the 7th century BCE.
Sodalite appearance is a deep blue color often features white veins or patches. The use of Sodalite dates back ancient civilizations. Around 2,600 BCE the Caral peoples in modern-day Peru and the Tiwanaku peoples in modern-day Bolivia both traded for it. Sodalite is associated with intellectualism and communication, and thought to improve intuition, insight, and wisdom.
Handmade Rio Grande Brass clasp and solid Brass beads contrast well with these extraordinary gemstones of Sodalite and Blue Chalcedony. Length is 20 - 22 inches.
